The Land Between The Lakes
LBL is an approximately 8-mile wide, 40-mile long, 170,000-acre national forestry recreation area between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. While LBL remains unspoiled, it draws some 2.5 million visits each year. You’ll discover more than 500 miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails and any type of water sports you can imagine! It also offers the 2,500-acre Turkey Bay Off-Highway Vehicle riding area (Always “Call Before You Haul!” (270) 924-2233).
*** If you are coming to ride at Turkey Bay and they actually have the park CLOSED due to inclement weather, we will allow you to reschedule your reservation to a later date within one year of your original scheduled arrival, even if you’re within the two-week period prior to your arrival date. (However, you MUST call us prior to your arrival date to reschedule – no-shows forfeit their deposit. NO refunds will be issued.)

- The Elk and Bison Prairie is less than 4 miles from our resort. It’s a 700-acre enclosure, with a 3 1/2 mile drivable loop, and requires a $5.00 token per vehicle, purchased onsite for admittance. Located at Elk & Bison Prairie Rd., Golden Pond, KY 42211.
- See the stars at the Golden Pond’s Planetarium with a 40′ dome. It is located at the Golden Pond Visitor’s Center, with shows throughout the day. (Admission: ages 13 & up: $7; Ages 5-12: $4.50; 4 & under are free. Lazer shows: $8
- The Woodlands Nature Station has lots to see and do for visitors of all ages. It is open from March through November and is located at 3146 Silver Trail Road, Cadiz, KY 42211. Admission: Adult: $7, special event $9; Youth 5-17: $5, special event $7; Ages 4 & under are free.
- Come visit the 1850’s HomePlace Living History Farm – ran like it was in the 1850’s. Open March through November and is located at 4512 The Trace, Dover, TN 37058. (931) 232-6457. Admission: Adult: $7, special event $9; Youth 5-17: $5, special event $7; Ages 4 & under are free.
